I feel this on so many levels. But mainly I’m here to say I can’t wait to read your deep dive into The Curse! I’ve been slowly trying to write about it myself because no one else I know has watched it and it’s driving me up the wall (hehe) not to be able to talk about it with others.
I'm friends with a lot of Mormon PoC writers who talk a lot about representation. They're like I really struggled to get a Latina character onto the page. I didn't care about all the opposition or the hatred, I just knew that little girls _needed_ to see this identity represented. Once I asked one, why do you never write Mormon characters: they were like...editors would never go for that. I mean it's true, but the disconnect was so amusing.
It’s so funny, trying to know which identities carry currency and which don’t. I struggle even to predict?

It’s incredible! Need to get on it soon. Thanks for the encouragement!
